Understanding Product Titles
Product titles are designed to give you a general idea of what the product is. However, they may not always be an exact match due to several reasons:
- Abbreviations: Manufacturers or wholesalers often use abbreviated product titles, leading us to infer what the actual title should be.
- Source of Titles: We typically pull product titles from Amazon, the world’s leading selling platform, so that you do not see an abbreviated title. Generally, our titles are identical to what you see on Amazon.
Variations in Titles
Sometimes, product titles can vary due to:
- Manufacturer Changes: If the manufacturer makes changes to the product, the title may also change.
- Listing Adjustments: The Amazon listing may have been altered by sellers or Amazon, leading to discrepancies in titles.
- Mismatched data: The UPC or other identifying aspects may be input wrong in Amazon's system causing us to match the incorrect product to an Amazon listing.
This information aims to clarify why product titles might not always perfectly reflect the product and what factors can contribute to these variations.
