This tip is intended to assist you in forcing a shipment to split the way it is packed without violating amazon FBA rules.
NOTE: THIS WILL ONLY WORK ON THE LEGACY SHIPMENT CREATION TOOL. Amazon plans on terminating the legacy shipment workflow on 8/31/2022. Palletfly is currently researching to see if there is any solution to the issues this presents.
At times, Amazon's system may route a single shipment to multiple locations and break them into different shipments. This increases costs and create more work for the warehouse. It also creates a larger possiblity for an error to occure. As a general rule, we recommend that you check for these splits prior to placing an order with us. Failure to inform us of shipment splits prior to placing an order will likely result in order delays, complications, and warehouse charges.
Generally, this method will only work if you are trying to get 150 units or less of a product shipped out to 1 location. For instance, if you have 3 pallets that each have 150 units, you will be able to force amazon's routing system to accept the pallets as-is and possibly even ship it to 1 location. Otherwise, amazon may try to have you split even the pallets.
Here's what I'm talking about.
This shipment has 2 pallets:
If I enter in 6 per case / 41 cases, as such:
Then, Amazon routes my shipments in a totally different way. NOT COOL Amazon :(
And so, I introduce you to the below tip!
Step 1: Send/Replenish Inventory - Change to Case-packed products
Step 2: Match the "Units Per Pallet" to "Units Per Case "Individual Pallets" to "Number of Cases"
Done! The shipment is now routing to 1 location/1 shipment.
